Syrian Plane Shot Down
Today, Turkey shot down a Syrian airplane. Turkey claims that the plane was violating their air space. Thankfully, the pilot did manage to eject before the plane crashed. Turkish officials warned the Syrian plane four times before deciding to shoot, but Syria obviously didn't get the message. Syria referred to the Turkish response as "blatant aggression," claiming that they were pursuing rebel fighters inside Syria. In Syria's conflict, more than 140,000 people have been killed, and 2.5 million refugees have fled to neighboring countries.
